The final countdown towards the 21st Barcelona International Supercross & Freestyle event on the 23rd of November is already on. And the show will be, once again, top-level. The first American supercross riders are already confirmed, the prestigious SX Tour championship will stop at Barcelona and the freestyle motocross side act will bring the best riders and all their insane tricks. An amazing event to enjoy head to toes!
Two US riders, the 2019 AMA double top-ten finisher in SX and MX Justin Bogle and the 2019 overall podium finisher (3rd place) jn the AMA West Coast SX250 championship, Colt Nichols, have already confirmed participation in the 21st Barcelona Supercross & Freestyle event. Both will try to reign -and delight- the Palau Sant Jordi olympic arena in the same way Malcolm Stewart and Josh Grant did last year.
The supercross part of the event will feature many interesting facts. Barcelona event will be the sixth round (of nine) making up the SX Tour championship, a France-based international series lining up most of the best European supercross riders. Names such as the AMA SX contender Cédric Soubeyras or Fabien Izoird -they both have already clinched a podium finish in Barcelona in 125cc when they were kids-, Grégory Aranda and Valentin Teillet will race in Palau Sant Jordi. The flaming 2019 Spanish supercross champion, Joan Cros, takes part in this championship too. SX Tour races are really thrilling: four rounds done so far and three different winners. Moreover, Barcelona event will gather together the best Spanish riders and also, for the first time, the Kawasaki Team Green Cup. Nobody is to miss the unique atmosphere in the Palau Sant Jordi arena.
And when it takes to talk about freestyle motocross in Barcelona, that’s simply saying the best chance to see and admire the best FMX tricks. Following the bike flip and the double backflip perfectly executed by FMX star Tom Pagés in 2018, maybe the star-trick in 2019 will be… the frontflip. This insane trick has not been performed in any event held in Barcelona yet. And, of course, Spanish FMX legend and local hero Edgar Torronteras will show once again his amazing and X-Games medal winner turndowns and whips (the best in the world). The Spaniard has announced some big surprises to be unveiled during his performance on November, 23.
The 21st Barcelona Supercross & Freestyle de Barcelona looks very nice. You can’t miss it!
